Whilst zipping a cup of coffee, Rachel told me all about her amazing mission as a doula and the precious rituals she includes in her work. It was so inspiring to learn more about the birth traditions and ancient wisdom of Surinam and Javan culture. Based on her special stories and wishes, I created this logo, to represent her work as a doula.
I included precious elements such as batik patterns and the frangipani flower, a bath, water. The outline shape itself refers to gunungan, the sacred Javanese symbol representing the Tree Of Life.
