GEBOORTEKAARTJES

After carrying babylove nine months in your belly, you finally get to meet your child. And how incredible proud we parents are. Of course we want to tell the world about our little miracle. And this special announcement should be done in the most wonderful way.

 In close collab with you, I create a whimsical birthannouncement-card (geboortekaartje) to tell your community about the birth of your baby!

 

How I work?

1. Inspiration Session
Share your wishes for your geboortekaartje with me in a video-call - or a real life coffee-date, in case you live around Utrecht. Perhaps you already have an amazing idea for a design. If not, I will be bursting of ideas after hearing about you and the vision of your little family.

After our Inspiration Session, I will capture all our ideas in a shared Pinterest-board. This is our shared inspiration space in which you can communicate your favor for aesthetics with me.

3. The final amazing version
The last weeks of pregnancy should be lush and stress-free. So, ideally the design of your geboortekaartje is all done and ready around week 37.

When you are ultimately satisfied with the result, I will keep the design safe with me, until the BIG DAY.

By than, all that remains is to fill in the precious details which you decided to share with the world, such as the name, birth-date and -time, etc.

Now, you settle on the couch with a cuppa tea, and perhaps prep the envelops for the geboortekaartjes. These envelops are not included. But I am more than happy to consult you about purchasing them.

2. Creation process
Based on your wishes, I will start the creation of your birth-announcement (geboortekaartje). I will create a custom illustration, including the design of the wording.
During this creative process, your feedback is very precious! I will sent you regular updates of my work to be sure I am on the absolute right track.

And whilst I work on the illustrations, you take your time to decide on the wording. Which information do you wish to share about the birth? And perhaps, you come up with a precious little welcome-text for your baby to be printed on the back of the postcard too.

 

4. Printing
When THE BIG DELIGHTFUL DAY has come and you birthed your beautiful baby: I will handle the rest. You just forward me the details we decided on. I will make sure the geboortekaartjes are printed. The freshly printed geboortekaartjes will arrive at your home in max two working days.

Ask a sweetheart friend or beloved family-member to volunteer and slip the geboortekaartjes into your pre-written envelops and drop them in the mailbox.

Et voila, the word is out! Your tiny miracle is born and warmly welcomed. Congrats!

PRINTING
For the prettiest colors & paper, I usually print my designs at Peter Print. Their paper quality is amazing.
I usually recommend a heavy 350 gram kinda paper with a little texture, named Tintoretto Deluxe.

The exact printing price depends on your desired amount. There is the amazing option to choose a very specific number.
